DP is a park for people who don’t like parks, and it has been for the past 20 years or so. It’s great if you are looking for a giant outdoor bar. I’ll still chill at Mclaren, GGP, or Mt. Davidson where I won’t run into any of you whippersnappers.

Unfortunately, most of this is true. As a Mission resident, I used to like going there…now it’s like “spirit week” for the little corporate executives who are celebrating because they don’t have to wear the company shirt on Saturday or Sunday. Lame.

I almost envy people who can still care enough to get worked up about anyone’s opinion on Dolores Park, including their own. DP is fun for people-watching and for casual afternoon hangouts with friends who live within a few blocks. If I want to relax and read quietly, there are plenty of other parks. There’s really no reason to get up in arms about this…

I love how people are up in arms in the comments section. Seriously – how does anyone find relaxation in a park that requires you tiptoe around other people every 2 feet? Get off my lawn, I guess. This place is for 22 year-olds.
