Loyal maybe, but prob not the “best,” based on the amount of money I was actually spending there . To answer the above question that place needed more than a few tweaks to be a viable business locale. The building was seriously fucked and that’s kinda why the owner moved out anyhow. Hope the new bar doesn’t suck too much!!

it was the perfect bar…except for that too-narrow corridor between the bar stools and wall that you had to squeeze through to get to the back. but it reminded me of nepenthes!

So many lovely physical bars are ground-up remodeled instead of cleaned up and tweaked a little. Do people hate a good old-fashioned bar? I think the Attic was very attractive, pretty much a model of what a bar should look like. Is there some sanitation reason this always seems to happen when a bar is remodeled? Or do people have investor money they have to spend? I really hope when the Lexington turns over, they hold on to the good stuff.
