"They also spend a lot of time being extremely hesitant car drivers, never taking the Box on a left hand turn."

Wow ... just when I think I've heard every conceivable petty whine about tech. And I bet they put the toilet paper on the dispenser underhand instead of overhand, amirite?

You kids sound pretty knowledgeable about stuff you wish you knew something about.

I particularly like the part about the "sanitary Milquetoastification of SF". Tell us, when does your parole end?

They also spend a lot of time being extremely hesitant car drivers, never taking the Box on a left hand turn. They have perfected being lame-ass bike riders -didn't any of them ride bikes growing up in the midwest? The sanitary Milquetoastification of SF is now officially irreversible.
This may sound petty, but it's the little things that matter out there on the street.

It is interesting how desperate this guy is to prove his moral superiority. The techies work hard and produce stuff that society finds valuable (or otherwise there wouldn't be any money in it). But rather than acknowledging that contribution, this guy has to disparage them as greedy, "winner take all types" etc. etc.
Sure I can understand why people are concerned about the changes to the neighborhood but the degree of jealously, moral preening, and just close-mindedness that infects these conversation is pretty remarkable.
I wonder what this guy has ever done for the neighborhood or our society.
