He did not fall out of love with the bar – he simply realized that he needed a rest after 15 years. The Amnesia community is thankful that he is leaving us in such good hands. A lesser man would have sold out to the highest bidder, but instead, our fearless leader took the extra care to ensure that the bar is passed on to people who will honor its legacy and all the musicians, poets, imbeciles and other much-loved community members mentioned in this beautiful post. Thank goodness for people like this!
