I live right by Mission and 30th. I’m not sure why this is happening, but hopefully it’s a good thing? I often drive on Capp up to Cesar Chavez just because Mission is such a shitshow, but I always feel a little bad for the residents of Capp for using their little street as a thoroughfare.

San Jose between 28th and 30th is blocked off 8-5 M-F for the next 2 months, so I assume that’s related.

Now that I think of it, the mandatory turns off of Mission Street is probably borne out of a desire to make Mission Street into the same kind of vibrant shoppeing strip as Valencia, an achievement that has eluded us until now. Well, everybody’s gotta be able to get to El Techo de Lolinda one way or another.
