It should be no surprise when it feels like the entire world is trying to gain residence in our beloved Mission District, that we’d be just as a popular a hot spot for beings from out of this world. Alright so we took some creative license here, but it does turn out that California has the highest reported sightings of UFOs in the country.

On Thursdays from 1-8pm, we celebrate UFOs, Aliens, Nibiru, Planet X, Super Heroes, Ancient Aliens, Star Trek, Doctor Who and all of the classic Sci Fi from the 50s on at the Pops Files. 15 minutes at Powell Street turnaround. I got to a downtown photo-walk 15 minutes early, so I snapped these shots (and a bunch others) all off while waiting for the walk to start. Crazy cause I never really had that much luck shooting there before.

This is the second roll of Ilford HP5 I’ve shot this month, and I think it works great for this project. The thing is that it’s rather expensive. The folks at Photoworks have been helping this project out with some deals on developing, but I wanted to ask you guys for help to. Unfortunately, some political leaders have pitted transportation and housing activists against one another in recent years, particularly so in the upcoming election on Propositions A, B, G, K, and L.

We’ll provide some background for you on how public transportation service and facilities are paid for, and then we’ll examine how the conflict happened, the political tactics that are being employed, and what can be done to bridge the gap along with a panel of activists and experts.

My wife and I were about to head home parked in Valencia, when she noticed these lights in formation above the San Francisco Mission District.

I wasn’t sure if at first if it was another Tequila hazed mirage, but myself and a few bi-standars where all in complete awe at the lights we saw on Valencia. Please excuse my drunken reaction. This was the first time I ever saw something like this. There’s also a yellow speck which is from my iPhone lens but it’s clear which lights I’m referring to.

At first glance, I thought it might be fireworks but when they started to form a triangular formation, I knew this was uncommon.

You folks be the judge. My final conclusion….UFO’s are here for Papalote salsa.

In response, the Mission’s own Noisebridge decided to host a science fair for the Juggalos to help explain how fuckin’ magnets work among other things. It took place in front of the Warfield on June 5th where the band was scheduled to play.

right now(605pm) approx, 500′up and near the red twin peeks tower area are very very very low altitude bright white stationary lights….one at an angle maybe three football fields away from the other…the lower light flickers maybe from street car(s)light reflections….what are they? does any1 in the bay see these things?
