15 minutes at Powell Street turnaround. I got to a downtown photo-walk 15 minutes early, so I snapped these shots (and a bunch others) all off while waiting for the walk to start. Crazy cause I never really had that much luck shooting there before.

This is the second roll of Ilford HP5 I’ve shot this month, and I think it works great for this project. The thing is that it’s rather expensive. The folks at Photoworks have been helping this project out with some deals on developing, but I wanted to ask you guys for help to. If you dig 3D city, kick in two bucks on my Patreon to help the good film coming.

Do you have complaints about the housing crisis and public transit in San Francisco? (Let’s face it, we all do.) If so, join the SF Bay Guardian and SF Transit Riders Union tomorrow for a joint community forum on funding for transit and housing affordability.

Here’s what SFBG and SFTRU have to say about this event:

San Francisco needs more affordable housing, a robust public transit system, and fully funded social services if it is to remain an efficient, diverse, compassionate city. Unfortunately, some political leaders have pitted transportation and housing activists against one another in recent years, particularly so in the upcoming election on Propositions A, B, G, K, and L.

We’ll provide some background for you on how public transportation service and facilities are paid for, and then we’ll examine how the conflict happened, the political tactics that are being employed, and what can be done to bridge the gap along with a panel of activists and experts.

Reader Enrique B. explains:

My wife and I were about to head home parked in Valencia, when she noticed these lights in formation above the San Francisco Mission District.

I wasn’t sure if at first if it was another Tequila hazed mirage, but myself and a few bi-standars where all in complete awe at the lights we saw on Valencia. Please excuse my drunken reaction. This was the first time I ever saw something like this. There’s also a yellow speck which is from my iPhone lens but it’s clear which lights I’m referring to.

At first glance, I thought it might be fireworks but when they started to form a triangular formation, I knew this was uncommon.

You folks be the judge. My final conclusion….UFO’s are here for Papalote salsa.

Watch:

Dennis Micheal Kernohan is one of our favorite dudes, and tonight his show opens at Gravel & Gold:

Please join us in celebrating this magical man and his abundant talent. Dennis, the man everyone knows and loves, the man with a permanent smile and long locks of silver glory, the man you want to see everyday and the man who knows when you need a hug. From carpentry to farming, punk rock to hanging ten, Dennis has done it all and now he brings you his art! This will be Dennis’s first show in 25 years. Heavy on the UFO’s, sombreros, bright colors and psychedelia, he has a way of making the most simple of shapes seriously mind bending. Bring a beer, bring a friend and bring some bucks ’cause you will not want to miss out on nabbing up one of his pieces.

RSVP and invite your friends!

In case you haven’t been up on your memes, ICP put out a video recently about all the magic up in this bitch. You know, like fuckin’ butterflies, lava, giraffes, and UFOs:

In response, the Mission’s own Noisebridge decided to host a science fair for the Juggalos to help explain how fuckin’ magnets work among other things. It took place in front of the Warfield on June 5th where the band was scheduled to play.
