Belgian Beer Bonanza

Well, for everyone that was ever bummed that the Onion never put any of its local content online, now is the time to rejoice. Decider Bay Area launched this week, and today my first feature is up. It’s a Q&A with Toronado proprietor Dave “Big Daddy” Keene. In it, Dave gives us the scoop on Duvel Draft and the all-new lower-alcohol Saison Dupont, and the real story behind his first Belgian. Big thanks to Jesse for the photo, too. Link.

Oh my god, there was a HOP SHORTAGE?!?

Nicely done — so will DeciderBA carry all the local Onion content?

  2. Allan Hough says:

    I believe it does.

Ugh. Toronado jumps the shark. My nephew was in town, last weekend, so I decided to treat him to beer and hot dogs — only to find both places closed with huge hordes of hipsters camped outside, waiting for this Belgian pseudo-event. We ended up at the 500 Club with take-out hamburgers, fewer beer choices, a better jukebox and actual booths to lounge in.

Toronado, you’re too damn small to host events!
