The light is green, the trap is clean

But why is this trap just sitting unattended on a section of 24th Street in the middle of the night? Somebody plug this piece into an Ecto-Containment Unit where it belongs!

There was one in front of $1.30 Chinese Food near 18th and Mission. It sat there for a week or so with city people examining it from time to time. Something to do with the grease trap? I wouldn’t think so . . .

    Hi restaurant guy here….

These devices are used to monitor the waste leaving a restaurant and into the sewer system.

The city wants to make sure a business isn’t dumping anything poisonous(solvents/chemicals) or harmful(excess grease) into the sewer system.
