Guerilla chocolate chip cookie advocate hits Albion Street with chocolate chip cookie recipes

Reader Jill S. reports:

Someone went up and down Albion Street and posted various chocolate chip cookie recipes to all of the trees and utility poles. A bit mysterious, but definitely made me smile on a Friday morning. :)

    Nice medical tape usage.

OK, lets go down the “unauthorized public art” complaints list.

Did they use nails on trees? No. Tape is arbor-safe.

Did they permanently damage property? No. I can’t imagine these will leave lasting impact.

Are they artistically valid? Debatable. These look like online recipes they printed out, so is this equivalent to cynically making a stencil of a popular artist’s work? Or is it more like using something for an unintended purpose to evoke surprise in the viewer?

Are they creative? Yes and no, I haven’t seen it done before, but chocolate chip cookie recipes are far from novel.
