Well, I can’t take credit for leaving the house today, I shot this from my deck at about 10AM..I looked again at noon and it was gone..I was a little confused about the O.G. since I’ve come to see it as a common local expression for an older Vato..However, this is the one year anniversary of the Oscar Grant shooting and I wonder if that was the intention..Ah well, nothing like an uncertain protest message to greet the new year I always say..
Wake up SF BAY AREA! Justice 4 O.G. Young man shot down in cold blood @ hands of Bart Police, there is no excuse for this tragedy. God Bless his soul and his family and friends in this new year. Big up all those who reclaimed our community space for installations like this, we need this monumental spirit to exist in front of our eyes to wake up and be aware of whats really going down!
Please stop painting over our mural on 26th and Mission. Why don’t you go paint on your own wall or on a blank wall instead of painting over a hand painted mural that took many days and hours of hard work to produce. You message is lost to the public when you destroy another person’s artwork and hard work with your own message. Go pick on a more well fitting adversary. How is the Comedy Central ad a “mural” as opposed to a “billboard”? I mean, to be fair, it is a COOL billboard, it is refreshing to see hand-painted, cool-looking advertisements, but it is still an advertisement.
