Real Life Burrito Justice

If I was a real journalist, I’d probably do a little research behind how these started popping up around the Mission.  Oh well.

They were part of Southern Exposure’s (http://soex.org/index.html) outdoor art installations that was all day yesterday. You got a train ticket and followed the Southern Pacific railway path to learn about it at every stop. The last stop was at 24th/Capp.

Did they also do the years that were (beautifully) drawn down Alabama?

    • blah says:

Probably but I didn’t walk down Alabama. The old train tracks used to cut over to Harrison and probably hit Alabama at one point.

I didn’t do the entire walk so I don’t know what was/was not involved.

Wow, jealous. I want those embedded into the sidewalk. With maps.

  4. Here’s more info on the piece (I was actually on of the artists…so excited to see you happened upon the project!).
