We’re trying our darnedest not to make every post bike-related today, but try and resist a plea such as this:
Please help me find my bike. It was stolen outside of Pop’s on July 4th. It’s a black pake with spray-painted baby blue and green stripes, with pake cranks, riser bars, and a basket. Also stolen was the only saddle I’ve ever loved, a comfy women’s Terry. It’s one-of-a-kind, and I’m hoping readers around the bay will keep an eye out.

i am sorry for your loss. i truly am. however, did you really think it was a good idea to leave something so precious in front of the warzone that is pop’s on 4th of july? don’t leave your bike on 24th on any day. i hope you get your bike back.
Guess your little U-lock you’all (yes, ya’ll, hip-loser) carry so cleverly on your belt isn’t getting it done. Ever been to NYC? Ever see their locks? Yes, they same type of shit they used to chain-up King Kong. Get with it, SF pussies.
Does anyone know how the bike was locked up? U-lock, chain et cetera? If the lock was cut, was it left behind?
It was u-locked to the bike rack and cut. Half of the lock was left behind.

I just wanted to check since I haven’t heard about many cut U-locks or have just not been paying attention. Hopefully he/she has the Kryptonite coverage or renter’s insurance to cover it.
