I’d love to see their buinsess plan. Eventually profit needs to exceed monthly outlays. Best of luck, though…

  2. void says:

And I was the first customer!

  3. Eric says:

    Well that’s certainly… different.

Doubt this place will be around in a year or two though.

Maybe once the business dries up she can change it to “Her Majesty’s Secret Beerkeeper” and sell honey beer. That idea would probably work in the Mission.

    • MissionBeerDrinker says:

Unfortunately with the Mission moratorium on all alcohol licenses, no new bars or liquor stores are going to show up in the mission for quite some time unless someone is willing to spend 40k+ on an existing license.

    • jac says:

Beer establishments in the Mission are like cathedrals in England. A handful would be great, too many are boring. This store is new and offers a brilliant mix of aesthetics, practical beekeeping supplies and info, local honey and evening beekeeping classes. San Francisco is full of locavores and enviro geeks – I can’t think of a better city for HMSB. For you skeptics, check out the store – you’ll learn much more than looking at a business plan.

Don’t we need more bees? Or is it bumble bees?
Hey! Maybe they’ll sell honey wine(aka Mead)!
Man, sometimes things aren’t very useful or exciting to me until I can figure out a way to make them alcoholic.
