Rolling with the Puppy

Great to see the little guy has finally gotten the tiny (and ridiculously cute) casts off of his hind legs!  Quite a contraption there, too!  Ladies, I can’t think of a more desirable potential Mission mate than someone who can combine DIY technical acumen with an obvious love for animals.  Swoon!

Thats Maggie, she didn’t ever have any casts, she had socks to protect her from when her feet were dragging… She was the emotional support animal for a Vietnam vet who lived in the Mission most of his life who just recently passed away ( I think he had Cancer from Agent Orange poisoning. Now the guys who were his in home support are taking care of her. The owner of this dog told me lots of great stories about old school SF. My favorite story was about how as a kid he and his friends would put a burlap sack of dirt high up in the trees in Golden Gate Park and plant weed in them. As the plants grew the sack would dissolve and the plant would just grow in the dirt and tree bark.-RIP
