Birthday Party in a Mission Bar One Decade Ago

Can you imagine partying in an era prior to the Black Eyed Peas and Scissor Sisters and Lady Gaga? It must’ve been so hard.

Great henley on that one guy though. And how do you think they got to the bar? Track bikes weren’t invented yet, and U-locks were the size of hula hoops.

These guys know nothing of George W. Bush or 9/11 or Twilight or LeBron. Imagine that. What a world.

    rad photos, didn’t recognize Skylark.
Nowadays skylark has a pretty good DJ night friday nights. A dj from KUSF plays disco & psych all the while tag teaming it with another DJ from the Frisco Freakout. mind melding music for sure.

Good times. Except I turned down the recruiter from google.

Hope you’re joking ’bout the track bike thing — they existed for a long time before they became trendy neighborhood rides. That’s why they’re “track” bikes.

    • The first paragraph is a rather obvious joke. The second paragraph is a bitter tea.

The first paragraph is deadly serious.

The henley thing I’m not sure about. The track bike thing was a pretty good joke I thought. The U-lock thing is true.

But I can’t seem to Google up a good explanation of what you mean by bitter tea. Life before Bush and 9/11 was pretty good, I like Twilight for the most part, and LeBron is okay by me I guess.

Yeah but the Internet was happening and everyone was rich.
