Barometric pressure yesterday made faraway landmarks look real close by?

Scope St. Mary’s Cathedral, all the way up at Geary, looking like it’s looming over the Mission. Here’s a closer look:

P.S. We made this observation before we got to the park and started eating truffles, so don’t try pulling that card.

    Had this same experience back at Ocean beach many years ago with that HUGE cross up on Mt. Davidson (is that right?? Miraloma or whatever) but I must admit there was some altered state type activity going on…..
