For our official holiday party, we figured it’s time for the return of “Hip Hop & Ping Pong,” one of our most wildly successful parties ever!

DJ Beauregard will spin *COOL HIP HOP* all night long, and of course there will be Berlin-style ping pong action — and dance floor action — on the dance floor!

Plus, get ready for a BOOTY-SHAKE CONTEST at midnight!

The nice-ification of 24th st. and Mission continues: first we saw the reclaimed wood makeover for that crusty old Micky-D’s, now the fencing is starting to come down on the mysterious construction at the 24th st. BART Station.

The big reveal? A skate park. OK maybe not exactly a skate park, but c’mon. Those rails and steps probably have every kid in a 5-mile radius reaching for their boards. I’d dare say it’s one of the best unintentional skate parks since the Tenderloin’s US District Court Northern District Of California.

There are other changes in store, including a bizarre obelisk structure next to the stairs. It’s hollowed-out inside and appears to have an entrance so who knows what it’s real purpose may be… BART jail? Communications tower for contacting the mother ship? It’s anyone’s guess.

Let’s start south and work our way north…

The Knockout, as it often does on NYE, has Teenage Dance Craze starring the legendary Russell Quan. Expect some Beatles! RSVP and invite your friends!

Virgil’s Sea Room becomes Virgil’s Soul Room with a little help from the Hard French crew plus Wam Bam Ashleyanne! Plus, El Rio will probably be doing something cool too, so we can all hop back and forth real easy. RSVP and invite your friends!

The Business are doing their first ever New Year’s Eve  show! If we’d rather laugh than dance, this may be the way to go (though there’s also a show on the 30th, so we could definitely do both). RSVP and invite your friends!
