Nothing Fancy, Just A Really Tasty Sandwich

According to breadxbread, the DeLano’s on South Van Ness makes a pretty decent plain ol’ sandwich. Link.

I have said this before and will say it again: Delano’s sandwiches are awesome! Here is my sammy of choice: tuna salad on a sourdough roll with chedder cheese, avocado, tomato, onions, lettuce, salt and pepper, mustard and a bag of cheetos! Mmmm. (get the meal deal with a small bag of chips and a 20 oz. bottle of soda for $7.99 or $8.99 if you’ll uppay for the avocado like me).

…if you are that close to Mr. Pickle’s, why would you go anywhere else?

(Says the guy who works in downtown, so he’s never around Mr. P’s when they are open…)

I work right around the corner so I frequent the 24th + Mission sandwich shops. In terms of overall tastiness and value I don’t know that the R Image Market at 25th and Folsom can be beat.

If you want to talk hearty then the sandwiches at George’s are the way to go – they are expensive though.

I was a DeLano’s person for years, but there are better values and quality really close by.

Delano’s pretty much rocks now. They are totally getting their stuff together.
