Instead of crafting zingers against SF Weekly, you might want to try and create some innovative posts instead of ripping them off of SF Weekly (e.g., Home made Sparks).
Better yet, instead of all the typical glamorizing/sensationalizing illegal graffiti found on MM… how about tracking this nuisance sub-culture with the intention of not only nailing the hoodlum idiots, but to ultimately promote this concept:

Dude, I don’t tag but I do think it’s better to keep the money in the USA by paying painters, buffers, awning repair firms, glass glaziers, etc. to clean up the mess rather than having no mess to deal with and sending profits overseas. Small business is the backbone of the economy. Keep the graffiti clean up workers employed. Graffiti kids, keep doing your thing.

And for clean-up — private businesses get hit with a lot of it, but all of us living here pay for DPW in some way (fees, fines, taxes…) for the stuff that gets cleaned-up by the City.
If you like graffiti, how about tagging the inside of your own apt. and leaving the rest outside alone?

As always, JimBeam is right. MishMish highlights innovative and funny graffiti, and, in my opinion, is trying to convey to artists that putting up the same clichéd tags will get them nowhere. Lumping graffiti together and saying it’s all good or all bad is ignorant. Promote art, chastise vandalism.
People who own property are the Kings of the Mission and have every right to dictate that all walls should be monotone. Just like Barcelona, Berlin, and Lompoc. Furthermore, they also own all blogs because their property taxes say so.
Sure, but why not focus on the many good corporate targets in the Mission like Bank of America, McDonalds, etc instead of draining the pockets of local small biz owners?

Jeloe would tell you that every little bit counts. “Shitty tags” are the essence of graffiti. I do give more dap to tags on BofA & McDonalds, however.
