Nice Tag, Brah. (P.S. No)

Theresa spotted this on the Pop’s window and sent it our way.  So now we have sticker taggers sniping at each other?  What is this?  The SF Weekly?

HA! SF weekly… that’s some good shit.

  2. Bodah says:

Instead of crafting zingers against SF Weekly, you might want to try and create some innovative posts instead of ripping them off of SF Weekly (e.g., Home made Sparks).

  3. Charles Nibbly says:

Better yet, instead of all the typical glamorizing/sensationalizing illegal graffiti found on MM… how about tracking this nuisance sub-culture with the intention of not only nailing the hoodlum idiots, but to ultimately promote this concept:

    - graffiti is a selfish crime

  4. hoody hoo says:

90% of the graffiti in san francisco is pure shit. kids with stickers and sharpies writing their names down? sounds like 1st grade to me.

  5. Inspector Clouseau says:

First grade ruled…look at your life now, worried about some adhesive invasion of your psyche. Fuck you…pure shit forever. Meet me in the preview booth in the porn shop at 17th and Mission tonite at 11pm. I ‘ll give you the other 10% of graffiti in this city – Pure Hell.

    • Bob Dole says:

You douchebag, it costs the City millions to clean up the puke you call art. Why don’t I meet you in front of your house and give you a taste of some my own art?

      • beer glasses says:

let’s meet in their parents house, or business, and see if they all agree that this fucking bullshit is art!?

  6. Milton Marks says:

I don’t think he’s dissing Bonsai, breh…..you people always miss the point.

  7. hoody hoo says:

im not worried about it? adhesive invansion of my psyche? sounds like a creative writing major dropout right here. cut the smug sarcasm you dick. youre probably one of these idiots who takes pride in writing their name on whatever they can. its supposed to be ART not reckless and retarded kids with sharpies. grow the fuck up

  8. Milton Marks says:

I glad you cant edit or erase comments on this blog…its cool to watch bitter old people clown themselves.
Some things never change…….like the human compulsion to make graffiti for the douchebags lining up to call for the chopping off of hands. Suckers.

  9. Not Your Brah says:

whether you like tagging/graffiti or not, let’s not forget that the folks who end up paying the price are immigrant shopkeepers who get fined by the city if they don’t spend their own hard-earned cash painting over this crap; replacing their awnings; buffing out window etchings etc. Just so ya know, that’s money that they would probably rather send back to their families in Mexico, El Salvador, Vietnam, Laos, etc. So next time you’re tagging, just remember who you’re really sticking it to

    • Milton Marks says:

Dude, I don’t tag but I do think it’s better to keep the money in the USA by paying painters, buffers, awning repair firms, glass glaziers, etc. to clean up the mess rather than having no mess to deal with and sending profits overseas. Small business is the backbone of the economy. Keep the graffiti clean up workers employed. Graffiti kids, keep doing your thing.

      • Not Your Brah says:

So your argument is that narcissistic taggers should keep fucking over people from 3rd world countries that have been getting fucked over by the US for the past century though economic exploitation and military oppression because it’s good for the US economy? Ok, so you’re a moral midget.

But would you be making that same argument if someone fucked with your stuff? If that’s your argument, hey, why is stealing bikes wrong? It’s just helping support local bike shops…

      • beer glasses says:

YO! Milton Duche Bag Marks…apparently you have never owned a piece of property in your life, cause if you fucking did….you’d regret that fucking statement…maybe when you do(if ever)..give us the address…I’d love to be the first to tag the your space…and then you’d realize what a $10K price tag really means.

this graffiti comment war is lame/old

where’s the fresh blood around here?

  11. Manuelito says:

sf weekly sucks and graffiti is good

    just sayin

  12. jimbeam says:

Wow. 90% of these comments are huge fails.

  13. SFSquee says:

I wish Mission Mission wouldn’t post tags. It just gives more time to these asshats.

And for clean-up — private businesses get hit with a lot of it, but all of us living here pay for DPW in some way (fees, fines, taxes…) for the stuff that gets cleaned-up by the City.

If you like graffiti, how about tagging the inside of your own apt. and leaving the rest outside alone?

  14. Pinched Nerve says:

Pop’s is owned by an immigrant family?

  15. jimbeam says:

Guys. Did you just start reading this blog?

It’s always posted tags. It always will. It’s called Mission Mission. Tags are part of the Mission.

Finally – This is a blog. It’s not yours. If you don’t like the content you can not read it. It’s really that easy.

  16. Josh C says:

As always, JimBeam is right. MishMish highlights innovative and funny graffiti, and, in my opinion, is trying to convey to artists that putting up the same clichéd tags will get them nowhere. Lumping graffiti together and saying it’s all good or all bad is ignorant. Promote art, chastise vandalism.

  17. mickeys big mouth says:

People who own property are the Kings of the Mission and have every right to dictate that all walls should be monotone. Just like Barcelona, Berlin, and Lompoc. Furthermore, they also own all blogs because their property taxes say so.

  18. mickeys big mouth says:

BTW, “Beer Glasses” come tag my place at 850 Bryant you humorless sour little bz. And wear your Daisy Dukes, I wanna see how much change you’re carrying.

  19. Chyeah says:

JELOE should be the only person allowed to do graf in SF, everyone else is a poser dipshit compared with this guy.

    GOOD GRAF > shittttttttyyyyy tags

    • equation says:

Jeloe would tell you that every little bit counts. “Shitty tags” are the essence of graffiti. I do give more dap to tags on BofA & McDonalds, however.

QUALITY I really like this blog, now im not 1 for adding links in my replies but I feel this is a great exception, I read a story like this about graffiti artist Darren Cullen on http://www.hire-a-graffiti-artist.co.uk/ he also works with another bunch of graffiti artists called the Graffiti Kings.
