There are a hundred people outside who can’t get in to see Lana Del Rey because Amoeba is at capacity – and this guy is browsing the used VHS section

Love your work, guy. Hope you found that copy of Tango and Cash you were looking for.

UPDATE: Some pics of the scene inside.

Yes, SHAME to the person who is not doing whatever all the other people are doing.

  2. “Uh, excuse me, sir, but if you were to take your business elsewhere, we could allow ONE more person into this free event!”

I have gone there to pick up some vinyl only to be turned away or forced to fight the crowd because some shitty band is playing. It’s even worse when a dj is spinning records but know one is buying any.

  4. dude says:

this style of singing needs to stop.

  5. Fable Jay Scorcher says:

yeah yeah it was free whatever but as someone who works there and wants people to buy stuff so we can stay in business i got allan’s back here. this dude can come back an hour later but ldr will probably never play a free show again, and definitely not at this one moment when everyone actually cares. this was an event not a show.

  15. With all the yuppie gentrification going on around here this was bound to happen…

Another example of an art school prick trying to promote outdated media as superior to today’s technology. Shame on you Mission Mission for celebrating this “ironic” behavior.

Wow you’re actually get mad at this person for merely looking at VHS tapes? That’s even more absurd than being mad at him for looking at VHS tapes when he was supposed to be looking at Lana Del Rey.

Would it calm you down if he wasn’t interested in the medium per se, but some specific movie that’s not available on any other medium? Such things *are* possible, you know…

      1. not everything is on dvd.
      2. vhs is pretty cheap. maybe the dude’s a little bit broke and wants some entertainment. stop hatin’ on poor people.

  16. Tiny Tim says:

Why is Amoeba selling VHS in the 1st place?

Is it possible that early Dana El Rey (Rana del Eyy, Elray Dana, Anna La Ray?) appeared on VHS as a child star?

  17. howardtaft says:

This is pretty old but I just came across it.

    1: Hilarious!
2: That’s the Television section. Those are DVDs
3: That doesn’t mean he wasn’t looking at the VHS before though.
