Full press release after the jump:

This past holiday season, Dusty Stax’s “Very Special Winter Formal”
gave San Franciscans a chance to look their best and celebrate the
spirit of the season with some great music, food, and cocktails.
Guests packed the Verdi Club as local garage rock greats offered their
takes on timeless songs by Ike and Tina Tuner, Curtis Mayfield, the
Bobby Fuller Four, and more.

Back for another one on the Verdi Club’s expansive 2500 square foot
dance floor, the Bold italic and Dusty Stax are proud to help you
usher in spring with our “Spring Fling” Dance.

Dress up in the colors of spring and celebrate a night of groovin’ to
the sound of our live soul revue supergroup, The Gold Star Band.  The
Bay Area’s super-star soul singer Quinn DeVeaux will set the joint
jumpin’ with Noelle Cahill (Magic Trick) and Jen Snyder along with the
luscious backup voices of the Golden Girls. These fine singers will be
crooning out favorites by Ike and Tina, Irma Thomas, and The Crystals
to name a few. After the band calls it a night, things will keep on
movin’ with DJs Dick and Sama (Rooky Ricardo’s Records) working the
turntables to keep your bodies groovin’ to the beat of classic soul
45s.

As always, don’t stress about finding a date, show up stag or with
friends … just don’t forget your dancing shoes.

Dress Code: No denim will be permitted. For fellas: ties and collars
are a must and leave those sneakers at home. Now is your chance to don
that linen suit. Ladies: you know what to do and let’s see those
spring colors.

21 and over dance all night!!
$30 Advance tickets. Guests will also receive a delicious
complementary cocktail from Kanon Organic Vodka with admission.

Isn’t that country rock founding father Gram Parsons on the poster, over the name Carletta Sue Kay? Or maybe she just resembles Gram Parsons.
