So last night @ trivia this nerdy dude comes in and proceeds to answer every question right. I’m like who the fuck is this genius? We get to talking and he tells me he’s Wally and we end up chatting about old exotica and new wave records. This guy had an encyclopedic knowledge of music and was as cool as fuck. Turns out it was international pop star GOTYE!

Yes, even one hit wonders drink and tend to know things about music occasionally. At least we can count on that song ironically being sung at Purple Karaoke 5 years from now.

I’d be rioting if this dude beat me at trivia, then I had to pay 20 bucks just to see him sing that one song at the Independent, and then somebody said “just kidding you’re going to see it at that shitty warehouse by the civic center”
