To their credit, at least they’re not blocking the corner ramp. And I guess you’ve got to admit that’s one classy automobile. Just check it out during sunnier, more law-abiding times:
Of course, this thing really needs to be zipping through crowded buildings during high speed capers, and not simply relegated to sidewalk ornamentation.

I’ve found lots of old cars like this are usually unlocked, and clubbed or something to avoid having busted windows. I always have a seat inside when I can, check em out
Kind of odd that you know that in the first place. Even more odd that you do that…
you are totally going to get your ass kicked doing that.
it’s called a curb cut; not a corner ramp.
No it’s not. http://www.sfgov2.org/index.aspx?page=391
Wikipedia disagrees.
The real question is: what are those weird S-sloped curbs called you find in parts of California? Do they even have a name?
The City and State both refer to them as http://www.access-board.gov/prowac/volpe-table.htm. But you got me wondering about the S curbs.
Looks like the generic name for curbs you can drive over is “mountable curbs.” No idea if the S-shaped ones have a specific name.
The actual city disability page wins.
Our city loooooves to come up with unnecessary vocabulary. Just look at what we call our voting system.
wikipedia trumps scumipedia every time.
A corner ramp is just one type of curb cut.
Yup. Understandably, any cut into a curb is a “curb cut”. I mostly commonly hear it in reference to driveways.
When did you “hear” anything? Please be real.
I’m not even sure what you mean, here.
Regardless of whether or not the Mini is parked in front of the curb ramp, it’s still parked in what is technically regarded as the crosswalk and therefore subject to a fine of $85.00.
I have walked by that corner for over a year and the car is often parked there, ticketless. Perhaps you do not know as much as you think about ramps, cross walks, curbs, and general pedestrian law.
