    I’m confused.

  2. Greg says:

    Hooray for white people

  3. Sam says:

I can’t imagine taking a bus all the way to mountain view every day. I imagine they’re on that thing for 3 hours a day. That’s some dedication to not living in silicon valley ha, have to hand it to them.

    • Bob Dole says:

It may as well be a figgin limo. I’d love it if someone can drive me to work everyday and all I’d get to do is take a nap. Walk into the office and there’s free coffee and breakfast. F*ck BART or Muni.

    • JJ says:

Only to have some douche bag snap a photo of you when you get off the bus.

  4. Nopie says:

3 hours on a wifi enabled luxury shuttle…. Yeah that’s such a haaard commute man.

    • Sam says:

Yea, it really is. Do you like being on a plane with wifi? Do you relish the thought that once you finish a hard day of work you have another 90 minutes to go before a bus drops you off, and you have to walk some distance to where you live?

I wouldn’t be able to do it. Luxury bus, I mean just listen to yourself. It’s a mildly padded chair with a bunch of other people surrounding you

      • andrew says:

Yeah,it is SO hard to sit on a bus! Try riding BART, standing for that 60-90 minite ride at the start and finish of each day. Add a mile walking to and from the station in the city. There are harder commutes than riding one of these busses.

      • Dan says:

Even going from 24th and Mission to West Dublin/ Pleasanton is only 50 minutes. And you can usually sit most or all of the way .

      • Herr Doktor Professor Deth Vegetable says:

Yup, well said. Busses suck. These busses suck somewhat less than other busses, but that’s not the same as not sucking.

        • anadromy says:

Buses. It’s buses. Not busses. Sorry bro but the spell check in the comment box even says so. Also: fuck yeah thetens!

          • Herr Doktor Professor Deth Vegetable says:

Busses. “Buses” looks weird, Like it should be pronounced like “Fuses”. I prefer “Busses”, which, if you’d bother to check before parading your ignorance, you’d see is a perfectly acceptable alternative spelling.

          • troll says:

Busses is actually a pretty common secondary spelling. Must be embarrassing to incorrectly correct someone.

  5. Snake Plissken says:

I’m starting to feel sorry for them now.

I live very close to Guerrero & 29th in SF. The SFMTA recently turned regular street parking that could accommodate 4-5 vehicles into one of these shuttle bus stops from 6am-10am. Unless you want to get up at 5.55am to move your car, you have basically killed these spots for the regular neighborhood folks.

This comes on the heels of the SFMTA making 2 other nearby regular parking spots into no-parking spots. Thats 6-7 spots simply no longer available.

It’s obvious that the SFMTA is using the shuttle bus operations as an opportunity to stick it to the regular neighborhood folks. Again.

    • Bazzillionaire says:

Oh, you “regular people” think you’re entitled to free storage of your expensive, climate-destroying, fossil fuel burning vehicles. If there was no shuttle, there would be ten to twenty more of them on your neighborhood block.

    • umm says:

buses > cars, most of the regular neighborhood folks don’t own cars.

I thought the porn company moved to Nevada because they didn’t like being forced to use condoms?

Only one thing does not belong in this picture.

  11. En-Chu Lao says:

Judging by that expression, they must be serving vinegar shots on that bus.

  12. Bernal Rob says:

Haven’t these techies ever heard of the Caltrain? I remember 15 years ago when the first tech boom was here, they would take the Caltrain, get off in Cupe, Mtn View or San Jose and they had shuttles waiting for them. I wonder what happen to that option?

    • Bob says:

Caltrain can’t handle the added capacity, it’s standing room only on the bullet trains. Blame the awful civic planning that occurred in the bay area, and around the country, the last several decades. I’m amazed BART ever even got developed, of course it was blocked in Silicon Valley.

    • Valenchia says:

Caltrain is plausible option for a fairly limited number of neighborhoods. I am sure these buses are faster, more convenient and more comfortable than Caltrain anyway.

    • umm says:

everyone that complains about these buses or suggest these people take caltrain/muni/bart must not be people who ride public transportation to work. if you think caltrain, muni, or bart can handle a sudden influx of thousands more riders during rush hour . . . you’re gonna have a bad time.

  13. Brandon Cruz says:

    Milquetoast

  14. Bub says:

    Beautiful bone structure

  15. MJFlea says:

I get talking shit about the shuttles or the city policy that allows them to operate, but it’s dickish to trash the dude for his appearance.

    • umm says:

the entire argument against the buses is a thinly veiled way for people to vent their hatred towards the people that ride the buses. private shuttles are nothing new, yet you don’t hear people complaining about art school students, doctors, nurses or tour bus riders ruining the city.
