That’s right, everybody’s favorite piratical restaurateurs are catering Heeb Magazine‘s gala holiday party tonight at the Make-Out Room. The beloved Bacon Snow dish will be on the menu, along with Matzo Nuts, Bacon Cheeseburger Dip and more. Open to the public. Link.

Audrey from awww damn just posted a nice little photo essay about the hand-drawn signs explaining the house rules to patrons at Arinell Pizza. Lots more here. (Thanks, Plug1!)

Well, the Mission-meets-Philly cheesesteaks made my brain melt. And the Poutine did the same for others. And I got to shake hands with Chris. Tonight at Mission Street Food, the menu is nothing but mashups. So we suggest you mash your dinner plans up with free drinks right across the street at Beauty Bar. Tech blog luminary Sarah Lacy is buying “the first few” hundred dollars worth of drinks served between 5:30 and 7:30pm. (via the Myopenbar.com newsletter)
Looks like we should all try some Baby Blues Barbecue barbecue. And then maybe have a People’s Donuts donut. Also, Mission Street Food is still going strong.
Mission Pie just announced, via Twitter:
Yes, the rumors are true. Vegans can now get their grub on. We are baking limited amounts of Vegan apple pie. Get it while it’s hot!

Apologies to the squeamish, but I feel I must link to this riveting post by chef/blogger Ryan Farr. It is a step-by-step photo essay detailing the making of a Rabbit Head and Lengua Terrine. It starts out horrifying and ends up making my mouth water. Just like many of the best things in life. Link.

Mission Street Food continued the experiment last night, this time drawing inspiration from the dirty south. As usual, Jesse at Beer & Nosh has the story (and a tantalizing portfolio of photographic evidence). Link.
