Independent Crime Map

SpotCrime gathers crime data using both news reports and publicly available government info, and pairs it with Google Maps and cute little icons. You can sort by date range and type of crime. Link to their San Francisco map. Thanks, Colin!

    SpotCrime tells me no crime has occurred in North Beach since July 23. Has anyone told Capt. Dudley of the Central District? He seems to be under the impression that his officers made six felony arrests last weekend.

    thanks for the suggested source. we’ll start adding that data.

    Please write to your PD and have them make the data fully public- not through a vendor that will restrict the data with their terms of service. If we can get a data feed like we do in Dallas, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington DC…. , we map everything.
