"women in the mission" has the potential to become the next best Mission-centric Twitter Account

This is what we call “comedy gold.” I’ve heard stories over the years from my one or two female friends that guys catcall a lot in the Mission.  I’d imagine there are two reactions you can have to being hollered at all the time: 1) cry about it and move to the suburbs or 2) start a twitter account.  Keep your chin up ladies because, wow, you are so attractive.  yes you.  hi.

This is a great example of you “not getting it.”

No, the poster is totally correct in thinking that is hilarious to be called out based on gender. I mean, When I walk down the street and get called a chink or a gook, I think its totally funny.

Depends on the catcall. Some make me roll my eyes, some back me laugh in spite of myself and some make me want to smack the living shit out of the dude from whence it came. If it’s innocuous I’ll let it go. If it gets too graphic I will go back and tell them off.
My favorite so far is, “Hey! Did you know you have legs like Barbie?!” That one cracked me the hell up.

“Hey baby, if you lived with me, you’d be home by now”
