Horchata Cupcakes at El Metate!

Mikey snapped this pic and tweeted about it a little bit ago, so I tried to do some reporterly sleuthing and asked him about ‘em:

Sadly, scrumptious though they looked I didn’t bite the bait

Anybody else bite the bait?

I’ve tried ‘em. They are up tied with Mission Mini’s Red Velvet as favorite cupcakes.

I’ve tried them and they taste nothing like horchata. They taste more like tiramisu.

Don’t live up to their promise. Very dry and very mildly flavored. I like my cupcakes moist and sweet.

ITT: white people being racist against mexican pastries. sorrrrrrrry their bread isnt as moist as your silver spoon fed mouths are used to!

Except these cupcakes are made by (probably) white people? And horchata is a beverage, not a mexican pastry? And what? What?
