The Smiths and the Misfits to battle it out for Saturday night rock ‘n’ roll supremacy

The previous edition of Smithsfits was disrupted by massive power outages (but they still had some fun). Here’s hoping this Saturday’s goes off without a hitch.

    I know – it’s serious
    Ride, Johnny, ride!

That’s a frigging Danzig skull not a goddamn Misfits call. I call shenanigans.

I believe it first appeared on a Samhain album, Danzig’s post-Misfits, pre-Danzig band.

In other news, DJ’s playing Smiths and Misfits songs is a lot less interesting than a band playing only Smiths and Misfits covers would be. Preferably changing styles inversely – This Charming Man as sung by Glen, I Want Your Skull as sung by Morrissey. Somebody get on that.

    Interesting.

Did anyone see that video of Danzig getting knocked out by a lead singer of a band?

The Misfits are one of my favorite bands ever and I also love the Smiths. That said, the last Smithsfits night was absolutely terrible and the Knockout blows.

That said, my opinion is worth shite. Have fun.
