That’s not a good idea. Anything that puts pressure on the tree trunk impedes circulation, making it more difficult for the tree to get nutrients/water from the roots out to the leaves. Pretty inconsiderate.
I thought you were a fan of the tree swing.
Jeez. At least leave in so that I can cook my ball park franks on it while your temporarily away.
