The former Nap’s 3 will reopen soon as Virgil’s Sea Room!

The above three images and the following text are pretty much all that exist on the Virgil’s Sea Room page right now, but I suppose it’s excitement enough for now:

We can’t wait to open these doors! Like our page to stay up to date on our (very soon to be opened) new neighborhood bar. — with Tom Temprano, Lila Lexington and Gillian Fitzgerald.

Can’t wait either!

So excited for this in our neighborhood. Saw a sneak peek of the place over the weekend and its going to be good in there!

  2. Tom Temprano says:

Thanks for sharing, Allan! We are so excited for Virgil’s to become a part of the Mission community and are honored to be taking over such a classic neighborhood space – the former Naps III. We’ll have lots more info coming to you shortly.

  3. JJ says:

Kudos to the owners for not naming it “______ & ______”.

  4. True says:

or “The Precarious Passions of Oswald Knickerbock”

Waaait….Naps closed? When did that happen?
And why isn’t there a protest to save it, and a boycott against changes? This transition is happening way to easily!

    • Vic says:

Chill, folks. Nap retired from the bar scene. I guess you can protest an old man’s wish to retire if you want, or boycott social security or something, but it’s not as sinister as you might think.

Rumor has it he will STILL be hosting Karaoke at the new bar, which would rule, of course.

  6. Greg says:

Hope then Virgil’s feather design makes it on a t-shirt.

i disagree. I grew up in Bernal and Naps and El rio were considered part of the mission. While real estate guys might try to call it bernal/la langua/socha/somebullshit to rent/ sell places for more… this block is more mission than bernal in both its feel and geographical location.

    Right on Tom!

Nope. It’s La Lengua, sorry if your childhood was filled with lies.

      • Herb Cain says:

La Lengua is actually a clever lingo-troll to weed out transplants. No one should fight over turf monikers unless you want to be the honky version of Gs on the Block claimin and gunnin. Namsayn?
