Is my Fuck Columbus shirt offensive?

Our pal Nick (of Buster Posey, Dreamcatcher fame) let us know of this colorful shirt his buddy Albert recently designed and will be selling this Sunday from 12-4pm at Cafe Trieste on 609 Vallejo Street here in the city.  Probably not a good idea to go to this one wearing feathers, though.

What’s more offensive is that my company doesn’t observe Monday as a holiday. Getting my three-day weekend isn’t going to make the Native Americans any less genocided.

You know actually they weren’t native americans, but the Taino people of the Arawak Tribes, of the Bahamas, and Hispaniola-Haiti respectively.

Uh. Are you arguing that islands off the coast of a continent are not part of the continent? That’s a fairly novel position, geographically speaking.

Generally speaking, islands are considered to be part of the continent they are closest to. Soo… Natives of islands of the Americas are Native Americans.
