Sangroncito splits his time between the Mission and Brazil, and takes stunning photos of both places. This is the latest from the latter. How about something like this on the Dolores Park bathroom building?
Britta from Jeweled Platypus just added this work of art to her Flickr stream. I like it because it’s another lesson in looking on the bright side. Feeling down? Bummed about your friend’s shitty attitude? Give it a couple days, or a long weekend maybe. You’ll feel better. Link.

Bunch of new stuff over on the Hamburger Eyes blog, including this portrait by tondar. Link.
Lauren at Double Takes just discovered Caroline Woolard‘s Swinging Underground project, in which a backpack turns into a subway swing and adds a little whimsy to an otherwise dreary commute — for you and all your fellow commuters. Link. (Thanks, Mike!)

I always kind of hated calendars because I would put so much time and effort into them over the course of the year, and come the end of December, I’m throwing away (or storing away) this big mass of paper (and memories). Not so with these forever calendars by Claire Nereim. They last forever!
California Flowering Trees is the latest, and for sale now at Little Otsu. Seasonal Fruits of California caught my eye a while back when I saw it on the wall at Needles + Pens. Both (and more) can be purchased at Claire’s Etsy shop.

But seriously, I think we all saw this before, but now it’s available in this pleasant new color scheme produced exclusively for the Curiosity Shoppe in limited quantities. Says the official product page:

The “picture” to which this sign refers is a portrait of Argus Lounge‘s canine mascot, Weezer. The portrait was stolen a while back, and remains missing. So let’s mobilize already! Who ganked this beloved work of art!? Keep your eyes peeled!
For reference, I found a picture of it on Flickr, in the shadows in the background of the party shot below. I turned the brightness way up so’s you can see it (click photo to enlarge):
