New York-style burritos now available in the Mission

Reader sinkstuart spotted this NY-inspired burrito at Taqueria Vallarta. The “Manhattan” features carrots, red pepper, broccoli, cauliflower, and zucchini. Zing! This is clearly a subtle jab at New York. Well played, Vallarta.

If this menu is a bit too experimental for you don’t worry, head over to their taco corner for tripas, lengua, and cabeza stewing in their juices. Best damn tacos in town, even if they are $1.75 now.

  1. That’s a whole lot of different vegetarian burritos. Have to pass on the cauliflower, though.

Sign me up for the offal.

Only gonna criticize the “Manhattan?” Every choice in that list, save only the nopales as an ingredient, tells me that I can leave Vallarta off my must-eat list.

Vallarta is the business. you not showing up just makes the line THAT MUCH SHORTER.

I’m a vegetarian, but shit like broccoli, cauliflower and zucchini does not belong in a tortilla, thank you very much. The eggplant makes me curious though…

a Manhattan burrito should have whiskey in it. Or at least a marascino cherry.
