Great news for all you Spanish speakers out there: this year’s Bike To Work Day will feature the first Spanish/English bilingual Energizer Station in the history of the tradition. Even better, it will be staffed by Meli from Bikes and the City. So whether you speak Spanish/English, Spanish/Spanish or English/English, stop by and say hi. (And get your tote bag and bagel and banana.)
Chavez and Harrison in the morning; Chavez and Valencia in the evening.

SF Appeal intern Ramona just dropped a doozy on her blog not so serious:
Tattoos are badass, but bruises are undercover badass. Bruises are the new temporary tattoo. Bruises say I live my life rough, and I don’t even have to pay someone to draw it on. A bruise is like a tattoo that says “I’m rugged. Let’s party.”

“Decoration begins at Gracias Madre,” writes reader Jeff D.
Looks okay, I guess. Thanks, Jeff!
Unrelated: If you haven’t checked out The Virgins, do.
Update: Oops, lady d says we’re wrong. This stuff is left over from the previous tenant.

Broke-Ass Stuart’s Goddamn Website‘s Broke-Ass of the Week this week is Fart Party‘s Julia Wertz. In her Q&A, Julia explains why SF dive bars are better than NY dive bars (and shouts out a couple Mission beloveds), and tells us what she likes to do in Dolores Park:

The all-new Dolores Park Calendar of Events will not only keep you abreast of popular stuff like “Movie Night,” but also lesser-trafficked oddities such as “Christian Worship Rally” and “Lawhead Wedding.” Here’s hoping the Lawheads don’t mind a well-intentioned crash.
