Suck it, haters, this is art.
This photo published today by chartno3 (click to view photo page) calls to mind a fateful comment from several months back left on a Mission Mission post about mopeds by one Tad Benton:
I used to ride a moped back in, oh, 2003. It was fun. Even picked up a DUI on it. They’re a huge pain the butt maintenance-wise, and yeah, not much better than a bike when it comes down to it. I was never much for joining clubs, either, and didn’t like pestering from the moped kids to do so. Now it’s just sort of rotting away in my backyard. Can’t bring myself to sell it, can’t be bothered to ride it. That said, having a girl on your back is delightful and people will smile.
Poetry, I say!

You could make a pretty decent ’70s movie with this chariot as the main character.
Massan, presumably the same Massan from the Macaframa video (but I’m too lazy to fire up the email to find out), has a pretty solid collection of fixie pictures from around SF.

Plug1 and Plug2 are the subjects of the latest installment in the I Live Here: SF project. I really want to know Plug1′s pigeon picture turned out.

Mission Local this morning published the results of a weekend photo walk. It’s a nice celebration of both the Mission and walking. Link.
I know Kevin already posted about this, but I had to chime in for the meat eaters. My environmentally unsound beef burger was also amazingly delicious. The salty, greasy juiciness of the thing was astounding. I kind of think if I ate more than one a week my health would go south pretty fast. But for a Sunday at noon, it was great.
My burger is the one at the bottom of the frame. Kevin and Allan’s are vegan.
