More baffling signage at La Rondalla

Well, as far as we can tell, La Rondalla isn’t any closer to reopening since the last time we checked. It’s clear they missed their projected “by June at the latest” launch date.

However, they are continuing their long tradition of putting up mysterious signs with vague references to current events in order to demonstrate that they are still alive:

But wait, are these really elaborate clues about the fate of the restaurant? Let’s analyze:

“Summer time blues”: Well it is summer, but why the blues? Are the blues about acquiring the necessary permits to tack up dangerous amounts of tinsel throughout the interior as they did in the past?

“No kid hungry”: Is this alluding to some kind of after-school meal program that they plan to offer?

i’ve always believed it was the rats that posted those signs.

Those crayon signs are made (and always have been made) by the owner. He’s a little off. I mean he let a super successful restaurant he inherited from his parents go down, by just not paying for its upkeep. Only he knows what is going on his mind, and I’m not even sure about that.
Still hope they open soon, but his daughters seem to be following in his footsteps……..

I’d call bullshit on this, given the lack of documentation, but then there are those goddam signs…

But then, the signs ARE posted on the outside of the restaurant… so who knows who really posts them?

I am long time neighbor of La Rondalla, and I know the family, so you can believe my previous entry.

As long as they don’t keep up their long tradition of serving cockroaches with their food then they can take as long as they want.

So excited for them to open up again. I miss their margaritas.

  5. SFdoggy says:

Some folks in the neighborhood are saying that they have changed plans and it is going to become an Italian restaurant. No word on whether the margaritas will be revived in that context.

you can get those great margaritas at cava 22 on 22nd and bartlett, as that is where la rondalla bartender has been since la rondalla closed

  7. I like the crayon touch but the signs are just too random.

the most common way of attaching them with the barrel is with the help of a simple lock or screwing them up. they also have greater torque, so they are able to bend and twist in wider angles. besides these, the forklift work platforms can be covered with transparent wire meshes that will reduce the risk for an accident. forklift cab mitsubishi tcmlpg jersey city forklift mechanic fulltime jobs in san diego proper training and certification cuts down on amount of accidents and building damage caused by the forklift.
