All I can add is that M.C. Hammer was weird, Patti Smith was tuff incarnate, Nick Lowe was charming as ever and Sharon Jones has tons of stamina.

Some Australian fashion blog called Wardrobe Wonderland today highlights a score from right here in the Mission. Says the wearer:

I recently got back from two months in the US, so my dress is from a vintage store called Thrift Town in the Mission District in San Francisco. It’s a peacock blue Thai silk vintage dress from Pauline’s in Bangkok. I love how vintage brands and labels are named after the maker.

These are screen shots from a new music video collaboration between local musician Bobby Joe Ebola and local bike-inspired dance team the Derailleurs. It seems to be some kind of statement about sexism or something. See for yourself.

I stopped at Arizmendi today and got a pretty good vegan blueberry scone, and ate it while looking at this guy. This is not really possible with the 9th Avenue Arizmendi or the Emeryville Arizmendi. I’m very happy there’s an Arizmendi in the Mission now.
