Walker Dukes is one of my new favorite serial contributors to the Mission District Flickr pool. I could go on about why I like his stuff, but I’ll just let some of my favorites do the talking.

I’ve been really digging packlercat’s “Twilight” photo album this morning. This fire dance scene was particularly interesting: not only did he snap a bunch of cool shots but I noticed that they only people enjoying this spectacle where people with cameras in front of their eyes. I know everyone wants to be the Ansel Adams of Dolores Park, but it’s getting to be a rare day I peep a cool scene without a million urban tourists spoiling it with flash photography. When is “kill your dSLR” going to become the counter-culture cause du jour? Can I join the party?

Art car spotting! More pics after the jump. (I always wanted to write that!)

The problem with working from home is that it is not often that I get to immerse myself beyond Capp/24th/Valencia/Dolores. Sarah Palin’s “real Mission.” I’ve started meandering around the side streets of the Mission these days (besides, the smell of Ritual makes me nauseous) and it turns out that there is some interesting shit street art graffiti going on out there.
Troy Holden, photographer from the supergroup Caliber and formerly Plug 1 (I can stop saying that now, right?) has really been tearing it up lately and before Brittney can . . . okay, never mind, she already posted this, but I still wanted to put it up. It’s a view of our neighborhood, and I get to do that. Just look at it for a moment, please. It’s amazing.

I usually only put up my own pics, but even my ego’s not large enough to hold this one back.
