Starts at 6:30am and we’re all invited! Pop’s is doing coffee, Irish coffee, Mexican coffee and BACON BLOODY MARYS all morning (and every morning). Sit around, drink and drink, and watch some live radio being made!
Here’s the official invitation:
Numbers-wise it’s only a handful more than the time I sang 45 songs in the month of May 2014 alone, but I sang a lot of good stuff in 2015.
It started with a pair of songs at the first Karaoke Underground party in San Francisco, and grew and grew from there. Highlights (besides the KU stuff) included “96 Tears” which was surprisingly awesomely fun to do even though it’s real simple, “Diane Young” because the baby-baby-babys are so fun, “Surf Wax” because the audience loooooved it so hard, “Honey Bunny” because I mean c’mon GIRLS, MAN, and “Police on My Back” because it was my final song of 2015, on New Year’s Eve in Shibuya and it was awesome.
The point of this list and this post is to encourage everyone to do more karaoke! I got into somewhat late in life, like when I was 28 or something, and I hope to help others avoid this pitfall. Karaoke is killer and it will improve your life, I promise. Here’s the full list:
I particularly recommend, if you’re looking to do karaoke in San Francisco, doing karaoke at DJ Purple’s world-famous “Dance Karaoke” party, every Thursday at Slate Bar in the Mission
[Editor's note: This news was reported in last week's Pop's post, but Pop's is very excited about it, and we're very excited about it, so we're highlighting it again -- and you should be very excited about it! A new entry in SF's long and storied history of 6am bars! And then of course, after the jump, this week's Pop's entertainment calendar.]
Early mornings? Back to work? No worries, Pops has you covered. Pops is now open at 6am daily! Enjoy a selection of morning drinks such as regular coffee, irish coffee, mexican coffee and bacon bloody marys guaranteed to put a pep in your step whether you are winding down from a night shift or gearing up for the day ahead.

I mean, to look exactly like that, you have to be Luke Spray, which… we can all dream…
But seriously, whatta view!!!
Last week we mentioned how our pal Jeff Seal has been pissing on Mast Bros since long before news of their fraud made it cool to piss on them.
Well, Jeff got at us on Twitter with three fine pieces of further proof of his deeds:

Yes.
(But let’s not forget the mimosas. They make the best mimosas in the Mission.)
