Rice Papers Scissors moved into its new headquarters in the Mission earlier this year, and this weekend they complete the transition with the start of BRUNCH! Their New Year’s Day brunches have *saved my life* several years in a row now, so being able to experience a similar menu every Saturday and Sunday is going to be killer.

They’ve got some dim sum, they’ve got banh mi, they’ve got pho, they’ve got eggs — and they’ve got brunch drinks with alcohol in them! What more do you need??

King Parrot are an amazing band from Australia. They are playing at Thee Parkside tonight.

I can’t stop listening to this haunting melody from our pal Luke Sweeney.  It kind of reminds me of the Kinks, but at the same time establishes its own distinct sound.  I guess I’ll just have to go and check out more of his stuff on May 1 when he’s playing at the Eagle!

A weekend filled with bikes, low riders, and great weather in our neighborhood. Here’s some pics in case you missed it. All shot on a Fuji FinePix digital camera, which I’m still working on a little review for (in short; a great digital camera, but the lenses are too far apart).
