Mystical Snow Leopard

Says The Perpetual Cold:

This is a picture I snapped of a kid writing on the bus. I feel like this was my encounter with a mystical snow leopard.

Human Uprisings and Worlds Gone Wrong

Tonight Dickerman Prints and photographer Anthony Kurtz premiere It All Came So Close to Never Happening, “a pair of intertwined photographic stories where the outcomes of human uprisings, or the lack thereof, result in a futuristic portrayal of a world gone wrong.” Badass!

Reception is tonight from 6-9pm at Dickerman Prints, near 17th and South Van Ness. The exhibition is up through the end of April.

Hipster Wife

I fully thought Hipster Wife Hunting was a gag, until this girl I know showed up as one of their pinups. It’s Jenn! She invented the Nike Beer Cozy and discovered Please Quiet Ourselves! Somebody marry her quick! Link.

Biographical Info:

"I joked that living in the Mission would be the end of me. And there were nights where it felt like the case.

One night I went out with my friend Allan to the bar that no one goes to on 16th Street, where I lost half my drink and money on the dance floor. Later we skated down 16th to Evelyn Lee, where I fell off my board and landed on my head as the 22 bus sped past behind me. A sobering moment. At the bar, I sulked and nursed my wounds until Allan put on Amy Winehouse’s 'Valerie.' We danced, he dipped me, and I felt better."
