Spotted on Valencia Street. Adding this to my collection.
UPDATE: Levi’s ad campaign. I am a tool.

Walking around Mission Street last night around 1AM I stumbled into a big commotion outside The Blue Macaw. (formerly 12 Galaxies) There were about 10 cop cars and a few fire trucks and ambulances. One young woman was pulled out in a wheelchair-like stretcher. I got a few different accounts from various people on the scene, but wasn’t able to talk to anyone who seemed to be a reliable source. Anyone have any other insight into what went down?
UPDATE: Mission Local has the story.
A couple more pics after the jump.

I was sleepily strolling along Mission Street last Sunday and realized at some point that I was in Thrift Town. I went upstairs with no plan in mind and stumbled upon my new workout spot. I did a full circuit, some AbSwing, some Xtreme, some lift-and-pull thing, some other thing that I think I did backwards, then went around for a second cycle. At one point a girl looking around even joined in for a few reps.
Not bad for a free membership.
Check out Mission native Michelle Nguyen’s blog, Meng;Inspired. She writes and draws a sweet autobiographical comic strip. That’s her on the left.

People having been raving about The Secret Alley: “What the hell is this?!” – A Recent Visitor.
This Saturday night it will be be filled with art & music. The Yellow Dress, Chris Klippel and Quite Polite will all be playing their awesome music, starting at 9pm. There will be an art show in the lobby, featuring the sweet works of Gretchen Natvig, Taylor Meers Jacobs, Sasha Mace, Michelle Fleck and Sarah Thibault, opening at 8pm. If that sounds good, come by 180 Capp Street, between 16th and 17th Saturday night, it should be fun.
(Disclosure: I am one of those dorks at The Secret Alley, so this is really just self-promotion, which is why it reads like a press release)
