Glad to have some context. I wondered what small person was supposed to be yelling that.

Happy Friday, Mission Mission readers! Please adopt one of these cutie pies!
Humphrey — 2 year old male
Greetings Mateys! Where am I? I am probably under my beds! I love hiding, but when you come in to say hello I will purr and knead and love you! I absolutely love to play with the interactive kitty noodle toy. I would make a great companion for a quietish home. Don’t hold my pirate kitty look against me!
Wolfie — 7 month male Chihuahua
I am a tiny birdlike dog…. i was so fragile that i was severely injured and just like humpty-dumpty, the vets here put me all back together again! I spent a few weeks recovering with a great foster home (with another puppy-dog who was my friend). I am looking for a home where my tiny body will be safe (adults or similar size dogs would be best).

If you’re a Toronado type you know how important it is to have proper glassware with your beer. The tulip shape of a Chimay glass lets you get your nose closer to the aromas, you know?
Well, two neighborhood beer bars are working hard to keep you in propriety. Monk’s Kettle has a handsome Moonlight Brewing Co. glass for your Death & Taxes (above, photo by .laz), and Pi Bar has teeny-tiny mini steins for your teeny-tiny raspberry beer (below, photo by only taciturn). Drink up!

Hellen Jo and Calvin Wong (disclosure: he is my awesome bro) did a series of comic strips detailing what they experienced at Lady Gaga’s SF appearance at the Billy Graham Civic in December. Crotch lifts, machine guns, and gyroscopes? Count me in next time.
The rest of this series will be a part of a crazy Gaga fanzine put together by a bunch of indie comix guys based in SF: Prison for Bitches. Be sure to pick up yours when it debuts at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival on Monday. What, you’re not going? Ok, well order it online, I guess.

I’m not sure if we’re talking about the bike or Vic Wong, but it’s fun to watch them spill.

Telstar Logistics managed to take a few of them out before finally being overcome by the papery deluge. The film somehow made it out of the scene Blair Witch style.

Last Friday the San Francisco Guardian Angels did their first night patrol in The Mission. It was led by the New Generation of angels, who are still in their teens. As their chapter leader says “their code names speak for themselves”:
1. Scorpion, 2nd In Command
2. Apache, Sergeant
3. NEMO, Corporal
4. Matador
5. Sonic
6. Puma
7. Robo Cop
8. Breaker
9. Maverick
Read the details of how the youth-led patrol went and check out the pictures on their blog.
UPDATE!!! This show is FREE, so pick up your FREE TICKETS from that place I told you about during those times that I mentioned. Hopefully they’re not all gone yet!
@Noisepopfest has the scoop on a little show that is happening right here in the Mission at the good ol’ Victoria Theater, starring 7×7 faves the Dodos. If you’re like me, you haven’t been to that place since you saw a smashing rendition of The Who’s Tommy, complete with onstage band playing all the hits.
Even if their popcorn isn’t necessarily as scrumptious as the stuff from the Roxie, it’s still pretty damn classy inside. Get your tickets from 9am-2pm beginning Thursday and through Saturday here:

In this video, Lesch from the California Honeydrops (with bonus Quinn Deveaux on the tub bass!) talks about playing music in BART stations. I was really interested to hear how he has found that he could tell exactly what kind of day the passengers have had just by looking at their faces.
As a daily commuter, I know regularly I barrel past buskers without even giving them a glance, even if I really dig what they’re doing. Maybe it’s because I think I’m in a hurry. Maybe it’s because I really have had a shitty day. Or maybe it’s because I don’t have any singles or I don’t feel like tipping. At any rate, I think I’ll be more conscious of it in the future.
There, now aren’t you glad that dude’s balls are no longer the topmost post? I am.
