A tipster tells us she was just seen buying a bunch of stuff at Self Edge, our local denim purveyor (which, incidentally, is having a special tintype photography event tonight in collaboration with Photobooth). The tipster indicates that it sounds like her plan is to spend the day in the Mission. Keep your eyes peeled!

Yesterday the internet was all abuzz over the video of two people fucking on a BART train.

One of the best bits of buzz, discovered by Mission resident Josh Ellingson, are field recordings of the BART announcements themselves reacting to the news. Click here to listen.

Of course we’re talking about Last Nite, the new 2000s indie dance party from the geniuses behind Debaser. Tonight they kick off a new regular gig at Elbo Room:

DJs Jamie Jams and Emdee bring you all the hits from a time when punks suddenly remembered how to dance.

It’s like we ate Pitchfork, stole your iPod and then rode off on your track bike.

Adobe Books is now Adobe Books & Arts Cooperative. We are a cooperative business owned by Andrew McKinley and thirteen other volunteers who worked hard to save Adobe.

Let’s raise a glass to Adobe’s past, present and future, as we celebrate the grand opening of Adobe at our new home on 24th St.

There’ll be beer from Speakeasy, snacks from Tartine and Rainbow, music by DJs Kevin Spaghetti & Baron Van West, and a bunch of rad art from local artists.  Check out all the details here!
